2017 TD Bank | NAPCP CPCP Scholarship Recipients

In 2017, TD Bank sponsored five scholarships to end-users to sit for the NAPCP's Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP) exam. We are pleased to announce the following recipients of this new program, and to thank TD Bank for its support and commitment to advancing the careers of industry participants.

The winners were selected by the Purchasing Card Professional Certification Council (PCPCC).

  Denise Eldridge
As the Senior Accountant with Adelphi University, Denise Eldridge is diligent in treasury management services and the banking profession. Denise is a graduate of Adelphi University where she holds a B.S. in business. Denise joined Adelphi University in 2006 after working for 10 years with a large institutional cash management firm. In addition to her Senior Accountant Position, Denise also spearheads implementation of financial projects, the most recent being the commercial card and payment product program she is working on implementing. Denise is an active member of Jack & Jill of Nassau County, where she dedicates her time to fundraising for local organizations dedicated to education and enhancing the lives of children.

   
  Sharol Hawley
Sharol Hawley lives in Grand Rapids, MI, where she leads an outstanding team of purchasing professionals for the Grand Rapids Public school system, as Director of Purchasing & Supply. She studied Organizational Leadership earning her MBA from Spring Arbor University.  She is a mother to five strong willed and energetic children, two currently pursuing their own college educations and one just learning to crawl.  She strives for excellence in every aspect of her life and believes strongly in leading by example in everything you do.  She ensures everyday that her family and dedicated team at work get only her best foot forward.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, being involved with her women's group at church, and working in her garden.

   
  Stacie Hopper
Stacie Hopper has worked at the City of Mesa for twelve years, and has fulfilled multiple roles as a member of the Purchasing department for the last eight years, and is currently an Information Systems Specialist. Stacie’s most recent positions included management of the city’s Procurement Card Program, as well as management of the city’s vendor book and vendor self-service registration portal. She began her career in Purchasing as the Purchasing Card Administrator and Vendor Outreach Coordinator.
   
  Kyla Van Zile
University of Phoenix has been Kyla's home away from home for the last 11 years, and she is currently a Procurement Operations Specialist. Two years ago a change occurred within the organization where her position in IT was eliminated; however, this change presented her an opportunity to move into the procurement side of the organization. With this change, she has found her passion and loves coming to work each day. She looks forward to continuous growth as a Corporate Card Administrator, and learning about what the Corporate Card industry has to offer.
   
  David Wang
David is the Procurement Systems Manager at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) leading the procurement systems support team. His supervisory responsibilities include Oracle Enterprise systems applications and oversight of solicitation processes, public purchasing content management, supply chain management business intelligence, and P-card management. During his time at DFW, David has progressed to roles of increasing responsibility. He began as a Contract Administrator, and was promoted to Contract System Analyst, then Procurement Systems Analyst. Among his achievements, David managed the progression of DFW’s P-Card program, implementing systems that saved countless time in paper-processing and other efficiencies. David has been engaged in supply chain management since 1988. His expertise spans the industries of metals and minerals, home furnishing, international sales and marketing, overseas productions, quality control, multi-model international transportations, international settlements, and information technology. His breadth of experience includes sales assistant, sales manager, corporate secretary, general manager, supply chain manager, contract administrator and procurement systems manager in both private sector and public sector. In his leadership roles, David led international trade teams in promoting magnesium alloy products to the US auto industry. He built a team that established manufacturing facilities for rare earth products for the US market. He also supervised the emergency supply chain management in major home furnishing companies. David is a devoted advocate of diversity. He is a founding member of DFW’s Asian Employee Resource Group and served as the co-chairman for Asian American Leadership Tomorrow program in developing Asian American leaders in DFW metropolitan area. As a charter member of the Texas Public Purchasing Association, David has a lasting commitment to the purchasing field. He is a member of the Institute for Public Procurement, a lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager by the Institute for Supply Management, and an Oracle Certified Professional by Oracle Corporation. David earned a Bachelor of Art in English and International Studies and a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Finance.
