Participation Opportunities

Annual Conference
The NAPCP Annual Purchasing Card Conference is held in a different city each spring (usually April) for three to four days.

Speaker

The most common speaking role is that of breakout session speaker. Breakout session speakers create and deliver an educational presentation on a P-Card or payments-related topic, allowing time for questions and answers.

Session Host
The role of session host can be likened to a conference "ambassador".  A session host will assist speakers and facilitators as needed, assist with greeting attendees and tracking attendance, time sessions and work with NAPCP staff to address attendee concerns or facility issues.

Roundtable Facilitator

Roundtable facilitators lead an interactive discussion among table participants on a specific topic for which he/she has expertise; there is no presentation. Facilitators are expected to prepare "discussion questions" in advance.

Audio Calls

An audio call speaker is similar to "in-person" speaking roles, as the speaker must prepare an electronic presentation. Delivery is conducted remotely, which presents a different dynamic than speaking to a live audience. The NAPCP generally offers audio calls each month. NAPCP Website Content and Newsletter Articles

The NAPCP welcomes and invites P-Card professionals to submit content and/or articles suitable for the Resource Center and/or for the quarterly newsletter. Content, subject to NAPCP review and approval, must be educational and not sales-oriented. Examples include P-Card-related best practices, case studies, program management tips and tools, policies and procedures, and more. Click here for complete submission guidelines for the Resource Center and NAPCP E-News.

Regional Forums

The NAPCP Regional Forums are one-day events offered several times each year; attendance ranges from 50 to 100 participants per forum. In addition to attending a Regional Forum, there are other participation opportunities including:
Speaker
A Regional Forum speaker creates and delivers a presentation (approximately one hour in length) on a particular P-Card-related topic.

Host
Typically an end-user organization, a host offers its site for the Regional Forum, working with the NAPCP on event logistics.

Event Sponsor
Typically a provider, an event sponsor contributes financial support and may fulfill other roles, as determined by the NAPCP.
