Member Benefits
Become an NAPCP member today

Membership in the NAPCP brings educational resources, networking, events and professional development opportunities to Purchasing Card (P-Card) professionals at end-user and provider organizations
throughout the world, primarily in the United States and Canada. Membership is open to anyone in the Corporate, Education or Government sectors with a strong desire to become a recognized asset within their organization and the P-Card industry. No matter your experience level or program size, NAPCP membership connects you to proven ideas and successful leaders that will help you move a program from boardroom directive to an optimized procure-to-pay solution that saves your organization money year after year.

You can’t afford to wait. The sooner you join, the more impact you can have on the direction of your program. Consider this: because membership is transferable within your organization, one person can join to learn about the RFP process and implementation best practices, for example, then transfer membership to the new P-Card manager or administrator after the program is established. If you need to get up-to-speed in record time, invite your colleagues to share research tasks by becoming Associate Members at a reduced rate.

ACTION ITEM: We know it might take a little time to gain approval for membership, so in the meantime, be sure to become a subscriber. You'll receive NAPCP news and event notifications, invitations to participate in industry surveys and quick NAPCP polls, and access to the Career Center and some member resources.

Reasons to join. In addition to significant member discounts on events and resources, there are few better investments in the future of your program and career than NAPCP membership; the tangible—and intangible—benefits you reap will far exceed the annual fee.

Here are just a few reasons to become a member:

Resource Center

The NAPCP Resource Center houses the most comprehensive collection of P-Card educational resources found anywhere. As a member, you have a direct connection to articles, white papers, reports, survey results and content filled with ideas and best practice recommendations to help you build your program and keep up with industry and regulatory changes.

ACTION ITEM: Take a look at your program and identify areas needing improvement. Visit the Resource Center and look for titles that could help you learn more about those topics.

Newsletters

The Resource Center also contains an archive of the NAPCP's TransAct! newsletter and two easy ways to find topics of interest: a list of topics from past issues and a list of issue dates with highlights.

Networking

The NAPCP recognizes the tremendous value of networking with peers across end-user and provider organizations. We offer traditional, face-to-face networking events and vibrant online communities that allow you to network from your desktop.

  • eNetworking for all members gives you the chance to post a question that’s reviewed by the NAPCP for clarity and accuracy first, then released to the member community for comment. Unlike unmonitored blogs or forums, you won’t get just "the latest buzz” or, worse yet, misinformation; instead, you’ll get a broad industry perspective you can depend on. Once you subscribe to eNetworking (one more step after you become an NAPCP member), you'll receive notifications when new entries are posted by other members and when you receive comments on your own post. A keyword search will help you easily find relevant topics.
  • The Member Search for end-user members offers contact information for provider and end-user peers who have chosen to opt-in and network with you.

  • Connection to industry providers means less time searching the Internet for issuers, vendors and solution providers who understand the P-Card value proposition. Visit the Sponsors page and then download a copy of the Provider Directory to learn more about these committed companies, including complete contact information. Don’t overlook the Annual Conference as an efficient means to meet scores of vendors under one roof—from the biggest names in card programs to smaller organizations offering unique solutions, products and services. The NAPCP can be especially helpful during the RFP process or when it’s time to re-engineer your procure-to-pay methods.
