NAPCP Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Note: This Privacy Policy, by reference, is considered part of the NAPCP's website Terms of Use.

The NAPCP collects personal information about you during your registration for NAPCP membership or a complimentary subscription; from our use of "cookie" technology as you use our Service; and during the use of the Site. By using NAPCP Services, you expressly consent to our use of your personally identifiable information as stated in this Privacy Policy and/or the website Terms of Use.

The data we collect from cookies and other places are used in the aggregate to give us demographic information about the entire NAPCP audience in order to improve the NAPCP Services. We also share aggregate non-personal information with our advertisers and sponsors to help them better understand our Services and to monitor the reach of their advertising. Also, NAPCP may monitor the URL from which you came, the URLs to which you subsequently go, and your IP address.

NAPCP tracks all your activities in the Site. NAPCP uses this information to better serve your interests and facilitate a customized use of our Site for you. The personal information you provide, such as name, address, phone number, e-mail address, etc., allows us to improve and customize our Site's content and layout, our services, and to inform you about updates to the Service and to notify you of Services of NAPCP, its affiliates, and third parties that we believe may be of interest to you.

During membership or subscription registrations, we may request that you supply us with personal information, including your e-mail address, postal address, home or work telephone number, etc. for purposes such as correspondence, sending out newsletters, or participating in online surveys. If you choose to give us personal information via the Internet that we or our business partners may need—to correspond with you or provide you with a membership, for example—it is our intent to let you know how we will use such information.

When you voluntarily disclose personal information (such as your name and e-mail address) in chat areas or bulletin boards to third parties, that information may be collected by others outside the control of us and may result in unsolicited messages from others.

NAPCP uses reasonable precautions to keep the personal information disclosed to us secure, and to disclose such information only to third parties we believe to be responsible. However, we are not responsible for any breach of security or for any actions of any third parties that receive the information. Furthermore, due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. We intend to cooperate with all law enforcement inquiries and with all third parties to enforce their intellectual property or other rights. NAPCP may, and you authorize NAPCP, disclose any information about you to government officials or other third parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property rights infringement or any other activity that is illegal or may expose NAPCP to legal liability. NAPCP may, in its discretion, contact you should NAPCP disclose any such information.

While we strive to protect your personal information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online; you do so at your own risk. You acknowledge and agree that you are aware of security and privacy limitations, including but not limited to (1) the limitation of security, privacy and authentication measures and features of NAPCP's Site; and (2) that data or information supplied on our Site may be subject to eavesdropping, sniffing, spoofing, forgery, spamming, tampering, "impostering," breaking passwords, harassment, fraud, electronic trespassing, hacking, nuking, and system contamination including without limitation viruses, worms, and Trojan horses, causing unauthorized access and potential damage to the information and data on your computer.
