Dick Jones, Assistant Vice President, Commercial Card Business Development

Dick Jones is an Assistant Vice President, Commercial Card Business Development for Capital One, and works with middle market companies in the metro Atlanta area to help them streamline their accounts payables, purchasing and travel and expense payment processes by using the Capital One Corporate card.

Dick has more than 35 years of sales, sales management, sales operations and sales consulting experience. He previously worked for IBM, Deloitte and American Express, before joining Capital One earlier this year.

Dick has lived in the metro Atlanta area for the past 25 years. He is a graduate of Brown University, where he was an All-American lacrosse player.  He is an avid runner, and has run over 15 Marathons including 3 Boston Marathons in his 50’s.  Dick has been married for 34 years and has two adult children.

While he’s not working, Dick enjoys biking, running, playing golf, and spending time with his family, relatives and friends.

Oops! They Did It Again: Dealing with Cardholder Misuse

Presented By: Lesley Lackore, CPCP, Iowa State University Purchasing Department

You've required training for your cardholders, you've made them sign a cardholder agreement...yet they still do things they're not supposed to do. This session will explore best practices in dealing with:

  1. personal purchases
  2. restricted items
  3. cardholder fraud

Lesley Lackore, CPCP, is a program coordinator in the purchasing department at Iowa State University, with 16 years’ experience in purchasing card program administration. In addition to P-Card responsibilities, she administers the university’s e-Procurement and requisitioning systems. Lesley is a graduate of ISU, earning a BLS with emphasis in business and communications. She has served on the NAPCP’s Higher Education Advisory Team (HEAT) since its founding in 2010. In 2016, she received a Community Champion Award from the NAPCP for her service to HEAT. To take her mind off of credit card fraud and cardholder misuse, she is a church choir director, singer and cat herder.

Becoming Check Free | Electronic Payments, ePayables, Purchasing Cards and ACH

Presented By: Robert Cavanaugh, CTP, Treasury Manager, Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC

Why switch? What are the benefits of switching to Electronic Payments? The cost savings, efficiencies gained and the steps needed to reengineer your payment profile will be shared and discussed during this session.

Attendees will leave with the answers to the following questions:

  3. what are the benefits?

  4. what do you need to succeed?

Robert Cavanaugh is the Treasury Manager for Fresenius Kabi, USA and Subsidiaries. Based in Lake Zurich he is responsible for all treasury functions for North American Operations. He has over 20 years of experience in the treasury field specializing in cash management, payments projects, working capital management, insurance and risk. He has initiated and implemented successful card and ePayable programs at various organizations and is currently working on an ePayables implementation and payment reengineering project. Bob is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and a Certified Equity Professional (CEP).

The Regional Forum will take place in the company cafe. 

 Parking Visitor parking is located on the west side of the parking lot. Upon arrival into the lot, make a right at one of the parking area entrances which will be on your right. Drive to the stop sign and then cross over the pedestrian walkway into the west visitor parking area. Please note that because of current construction, parking is not available close to the building.

Please check in at the security front desk. Please have your ID. You will receive a name badge and be directed to the meeting location.

NAPCP CANCELLATION POLICY
: If you are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible. A partial refund will be issued for cancellations made more than one week prior to the start of the event. An administration fee, equal to 50% of the registration fee, applies.
Registered delegates who do not attend or cancel less than one week prior to the event are liable for the entire fee. Cancellations must be in writing to Myra_Smith@napcp.org.


PROGRAM CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: The NAPCP reserves the right to make changes in programs and speakers or to cancel programs if enrollment criteria are not met or when conditions beyond its control prevail. The NAPCP will make every effort to contact each enrollee if a program is cancelled. If a program is not held for any reason, the NAPCP's liability is limited to the refund of the registration fee only.
