Travel Data Access and Analytics

Date and Time

Monday, April 10, 2017 Noon - 4:00 p.m.

Jack Reynaert, Manager of Global Travel, Meritor, Inc.

Jack Reynaert is the Manager Global Travel & Meetings at Meritor Inc. and boasts 58 Years in the travel industry – growing up living the passion his father had as Ford Motor’s travel manager from 1950 to 1992.

Jack executed a global travel program which incorporates innovative solutions to the many issues which confront travel managers. Metrics like 97% global booking compliance (air/car/hotel), over 96% of spend placed on the Corporate Card and a rent-a-plate model where fees to his TMC fully covered by revenues recovered. (Actually returning revenue back to his company with each booking!)

Travel Data Access and Analytics

Corporate programs provide significant results when adopted by the end-users.  Significant work is involved when developing a Corporate Card Program; gaps in adoption leads to missing goals. Identifying the opportunities and establishing methods to optimize utilization is critical for success.

Gain understanding of all the opportunities available; mapping strategies for enhancing programs to optimize effectiveness.   Working with your peers, gathering ideas and components, and means to measure, will help you build on what you have worked so hard to establish.  In a workshop environment, the skills of your peers and how to they tackle various challenges can shed light on methods you could deploy to help your program.

Analyzing data from expense/payables correlates to: card adoption, utilization, delinquency management, and revenue recovery, as well as ancillary programs to gain direct revenue via: commissions from travel vendors, distribution systems, meal spend and even VAT reclaim.

Workshop Topics and Objectives

Jack will focus on the following:

  • all the sources of revenue/rebates available through integrated Corporate Card and Travel Management programs
  • understanding the cost/revenue model of the various elements which support a corporation's need to travel
  • establishing and monitoring the necessary controls to ensure cost-effective choices are selected

  • sharing of successes and opportunities
