MasterCard Worldwide and the NAPCP each conducted separate studies pertaining to supplier acceptance of Commercial Cards (e.g., P-Cards) for B2B payments.
First, MasterCard partnered with Kaiser Associates to study supplier card acceptance, seeking to answer two key questions:
What drives card acceptance decision-making?
What is the net financial impact associated with card acceptance?
They also studied the buying habits more than 150 North American corporate purchasing managers to evaluate the effect of card acceptance on corporate purchasing. The result of this research is two insightful papers, which the NAPCP has made available to members:
During first quarter 2013, the NAPCP and First Annapolis Consulting jointly conducted a survey, End-User Perspectives on Suppliers' Acceptance of Card Payments. The results will be presented in an August 14 webinar, which will explore questions such as:
Does supplier resistance to P-Cards and/or electronic payables impede the growth of a Commercial Card program?
How do you convince a supplier to accept your card payments?
How do card providers assist buying organizations with this effort?
