Apple Pay, Apple's new digital payments system that is integrated with the iPhone 6, is expected to launch in Canada early this year, according to a report from tech news site 9to5Mac.

The report indicates that Apple and Canadian launch partners are planning promotional material for March, which means a launch could come soon after that.

9to5 notes that other reports have also hinted at a possible Apple Pay expansion into the United Kingdom in the first half of the year.

To date, Apple Pay has only launched in the United States for card issuers, banks and retailers.
