Processor Global Payments experiences massive security breach

Friday, March 30, 2012   (0 Comments)

As announced throughout the business news headlines today, approximately 50,000 cardholders are at risk as a result of a Global Payments security breach that occurred earlier in the first quarter 2012. Details are still emerging. However, both Visa and MasterCard are alerting their card issuers, so they can take the appropriate actions.

We can assume that end-user organizations will be contacted by their issuer if their Commercial Cards might be impacted by this breach.

Update: Read the April 1, 2012, press release from Global Payments for more information about the breach.
