Facilitator

Travis Henderson
Director of Procurement Services & Materials Management

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Travis was extremely excited to join UNC-Chapel Hill in October 2017 after 20 years working for IBM and Lenovo in various supply chain roles, including P-Card program management. He is currently the director of procurement services and materials management at UNC-CH, which includes purchasing services, accounts payable, Travel and Payment Card services, eProcurement, capital asset management and surplus property. Travis has overseen significant growth in UNC-CH’s P-Card program during his tenure, which has more than doubled its average monthly spend volume. UNC-CH will be implementing a new Travel Card program as well as a new expense management solution in 2020, and also expects substantial growth in Ghost Card payments in the eProcurement space. Having graduated from Purdue University with a degree in industrial engineering, Travis is always looking for ways to increase efficiency and drive continuous improvement for his internal staff, as well as campus stakeholders.
