Emerging Trends in Commercial Payments Highlighted at the NAPCP Annual Conference this April in Atlanta

Speakers slated to take a fresh look at a myriad of payment vehicles and discuss the impact of mobile, EMV/Chip & PIN, and Prepaid options on commercial payment strategies.

Minnetonka, MN—January 17, 2012—The National Association of Purchasing Card Professionals ( released its Annual Conference program this month with significant content focused on emerging trends in commercial payments. Presentations led by end-user program managers and industry experts will give hundreds of attendees the vital perspective they need to evaluate and apply today’s payment tools. The conference is scheduled for April 16-19, 2012, at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The best registration rates are available through March 2, 2012.

Keynote presentations, led by Lee Wetherington, Director of Strategic Insight, ProfitStars and Claudia Swendseid, Senior Vice President, Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank, will highlight the evolution of business-to-business payments and new opportunities for improving ease and control while reducing costs. They will also discuss the impact of mobile payments and EMV/Chip & PIN on Purchasing Card programs. Dr. Richard Palmer, respected industry expert, will lead a session that summarizes findings from a recent RPMG Research Corporation Travel Card Survey. Additional sessions focus on trends and the broad application of a variety of payment vehicles: Declining Balance, Fleet, One Cards, Prepaid, electronic payables and ACH.

Attendees from the public and private sectors are interested in the educational sessions, product and technology demonstrations, and a vibrant Exhibit Hall filled with leading solutions providers. In addition to a roundtable discussion session, attendees will be able to participate in interactive "hot topic discussions” and Q&A periods built into every session.

Organized networking events, including receptions in the Exhibit Hall, an NAPCP Members-Only Event, the Industry Networking Luncheon and an opportunity to meet with some leading providers one-on-one encourage ongoing discussions.
